Website QA/QC Checklist Before Launch

A launch checklist for websites that need to look professional, work across devices, build trust, and avoid preventable mistakes.

Best for: Business owners, founders, marketers, agencies, developers, and QA teams preparing a public website.

Outcomes: Mobile checks, Form testing, SEO readiness, Trust and legal review

Visual and Mobile QA

A premium website must be checked on phone, laptop, and desktop. Look for text overlap, broken spacing, tiny tap targets, horizontal scrolling, unreadable hero copy, and images that fail to load.

  • Check all major sections on mobile widths, tablet widths, laptop widths, and large desktop widths.
  • Verify buttons, nav menu, WhatsApp/contact buttons, footer links, and back-to-top behavior.
  • Confirm favicon, logo, social previews, images, animations, and hover states look intentional.

Functional QA

Every visitor path should work before launch. Test forms, email notifications, phone links, WhatsApp links, route refresh, legal pages, service pages, sitemap, robots file, and 404 behavior.

  • Submit contact and consultation forms, then confirm where each request goes.
  • Open every route directly in the browser to ensure refresh does not break the page.
  • Check all legal pages, cookie policy, service policy, disclaimer, and contact paths from footer links.

SEO and Trust QA

Search engines and clients both need clear signals. Before launch, verify page titles, meta descriptions, headings, sitemap, robots.txt, structured data, local/domain setup, and trust sections.

  • Submit the sitemap in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools after the domain points to the live site.
  • Make sure the domain does not show a parked page, staging URL, wrong favicon, or outdated content.
  • Add useful monthly articles that answer real buyer questions and link back to service pages.
